Carrie was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to a family of
musicians! She studied classical piano with the Royal
Conservatory of Music, from September 1990 until May 2001.
When she graduated from High School she decided to make
music her life! She accompanied for choirs, instrumentalists,
vocal soloists, music festivals, and community theatre. She
studied Piano Performance at the University of Lethbridge and
gained a greater appreciation for classical music, jazz, opera,
and especially musical theatre. In 2016 Carrie moved to Utah to
pursue a degree in music composition at Salt Lake Community
College. She graduated in 2018 and continues to work at the
college, accompanying the SLCC Concert and Chamber Choirs as
well as the Institute Choirs. She loves writing music, playing
music, singing music, and teaching music, and in the summer
she enjoys playing the piano for Utah’s amazing musical theatre
shows! Carrie lives with her husband in Millcreek, UT.
